The speech delivered at the Democratic National Convention by America’s former first lady has stirred a few people to action. Topping the list is President Donald Trump.
The lady shared her concerns regarding Trump’s way of addressing the pandemic, which has left the country almost crippled. During her long 18-minute speech, she went on to discuss the problems in every nook and corner of the country.
Over 150,000 people have died, the country’s economy is in shambles, and millions of people have lost their jobs. In short, the country is in mayhem because the President downplayed the impact of the virus for far too long. It was quite a power punch by Michelle Obama, condemning the president on Monday at the Democratic National Convention.
People on social media were all cheering for the former First Lady of the US, but pinning down Donald Trump for his acts is no picnic. The speech went viral in no time.
A few hours right after Michelle Obama said her speech at the DNC, Donald Trump took to Twitter and hit back. Questionable leadership, really? Is it easy for any President to bask in criticism? Certainly not! Trump told Obama to “sit back and watch.”
The tweets spread like wildfire. Trump went on to tweet that someone should explain to Michelle Obama, that he would not be in the beautiful White House, if it weren’t for her husband, Barack Obama. That was a straight-out attack.
Haven’t we all heard that a pen is mightier than the sword? Well, in 2020, nothing beats the power of social media. Donald Trump certainly got this right.
Ranting about the administration
Barack Obama’s response to the H1N1 Swine Flu outbreak wasn’t great either. In fact, his measures and response to the outbreak and crisis was considered weak and pathetic. The death toll due to the Swine Flu recorded as high as 12,469, according to the Center For Disease Control And Prevention (CDC). Why did the former First Lady fail to address this during her sweet little speech at the DNC?
Meanwhile, the death count in the country from the coronavirus has crossed 170,000.
The President tweeted that if some digging into history is made, the H1N1 Swine Flue was a disastrous outbreak too. How well did the Obama-Biden administration respond? The polls have an answer. It was nothing but a powerless and miserable response. Of course, Obama got a free pass from the media. Wasn’t the media all corrupt and fake?
It was quite a show on Twitter. Trump did knock it up. His remarks did not spare Joe Biden either. Biden, the Democratic presidential nominee, took the bait when Trump tweeted that Joe was “merely an afterthought, a good reason for that very late and unenthusiastic endorsement.”
To wind it up, Trump incriminated the Obama administration of treason. He referred to a point in time back in 2016, when Obama allegedly hired a spy to make it a win-win for him and Trump’s then-rival, Hillary Clinton.
Whether it is true or not, it will always remain a mystery to the general public. The inspector general of the Justice Department has turned down all such allegations.
Reports that question the lawful validity of the FBI’s surveillance during the previous Trump campaign alongside Carter Paige came into the limelight in January 2020. Finally, Trump accused the Obama-Biden administration of being the worst and most corrupt administration in the history of the nation. Spying on a campaign is hands-down the most awful political scandal the country has ever witnessed. “It is no less than treason,” stated the President.
Obama hasn’t responded to the President’s tweets just yet!
